are meat based foods that has a spicy flavour who combined from a lot of
ingredients and spices. This food made from repeated cooking that boiling meat
with spices and thick coconut milk. The cooking process take a hours (normally
4 hours), until the sauce get rdy and being black colored dishes (its not burned).
In 2011 , rendang dish was named
the first rank in the list of World 's 50 Most Delicious Food held by CNN International.
Now, this is how to make Rendang:
Ingredients:
1. ½ kg of Beef
2. 1 litre of thick Coconut
Milk
3. 9 piece of Red Onion
4. 7 piece of Garlic
5. 2 cm of Turmeric (burn it
first)
6. 2 cm of Ginger
7. 4 piece of Pecan
8. ½ tbsp of Coriander
9. ¼ tbsp of Cumin
10. 8 piece of Dried Red
Chilli
11. 20 piece of Chili
sauce
12. 5 sheet of Bay leaves
13. 4 sheet of Lime
leaves
14. 2 stalk of Lemongrass (crushed)
15. 4 cm of Galangal
(Crushed)
16. 1 tbsp toasted Coconut
Pulp
17. Salt sufficiently
18. Seasonings sufficiently
How to make Rendang :
1. Make pasta spices with red onion, garlic, turmeric,
ginger, pecan, coriander,cumin, dried red chili, and chili sauce.
2. Saute the pasta you make before, then put bay leaves,
lime leaves, lemongrass, and galangal, stir until fragrant.
3. Pour the coconut milk and cook it until boiled then
put the beef, stir it constanly. Don’t let the coconut milk broken after that
put the coconut pulp in.
4. Cook until the coconut milk dry and the oil come out (
normally it takes 2-3 hours),then put salt, and seasoning powder and if you
want you can add some sugar.
5. After the oil come out and the pasta get dry rendang
will turn the colour into black. Then your rendang is ready to serve.
